Fort Walton Beach attorney Larry Keefe has been named to the 2017 list of Florida Super Lawyers, Keefe’s tenth consecutive selection for the honor.

A founding partner in the law firm of Keefe, Anchors & Gordon, Keefe specializes in business law and commercial litigation.

Published by Thompson Reuters, the annual Florida Super Lawyers magazine honors attorneys who have attained a high degree of peer recognition, met ethical standards, and have been recognized for their professional achievements. Just five percent of Florida attorneys are recognized each year on the Super Lawyers list.

Keefe has been named to the list each year since 2008. The annual Super Lawyers list is the result of a multi-phase review process which includes nominations, independent research, and peer evaluations. Super Lawyers staff independently evaluates nominees based on twelve criteria, including verdicts and settlements, pro bono and community service, and other honors and awards.

In addition to his Super Lawyers recognition, Keefe was also recently honored for the sixth time as one of Florida Trend magazine’s Florida Legal Elite. The 2017 list of honorees represents just over 1% of the active Florida Bar members currently practicing law in the state.

The son of a World War II fighter pilot who retired on the Emerald Coast in 1968, Keefe graduated from local schools before attending the University of Florida on a football scholarship. After graduating from the University of Florida College of Law, Keefe practiced law in Tampa before returning home to the Emerald Coast in 1991. In 2009, Keefe joined together with partners Michelle Anchors and A. Benjamin Gordon to found the firm of Keefe, Anchors & Gordon.

Keefe is active both in his local community and the state legal community, having served as a gubernatorial appointee to the Judicial Nominating Commission for the First Judicial Circuit of Florida and as a current member of the Board of Trustees for the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law.
